Bible Study Opportunities

Tuesday Beth Moore Bible Study
Video sessions presented by the author follow group discussion by participants. There are three classes so that all women may be able to work the sessions into their schedules. The morning session from 9:30 until 11:00 will have child care provided. The afternoon session meets from 1:30 until 3:00, and the evening session is from 7:00 until 8:30. Group leaders vary. The meeting place is The New Room.

Manuals cost an average of $20.00. Women may register by calling “D” Fletcher at 623-0642.

Methodist Women’s Groups

There are currently four women’s circles that will begin meetings in September. Each group chooses a study for the year. To find out more, call one of these leaders for place, day and time of meetings: Jill Mandrick at 661-3489, Nancy McCormack at 743-0680, Dorothy deSilva at 423-7696, or Carmen Stephenson at 627-1438.

Men’s Monday Morning Group—

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

A verse-by-verse study of scripture allows participants to read and discuss portions of the Bible at a deliberate pace. Class members currently are studying the book of Romans. New members are always welcome. Leader is Hap Arnold.

Pastor’s Wednesday Evening Bible Study

The pastor offers a study each Wednesday evening at 6:00. The group studies a book of the Bible or a topic of current interest for our Christian lives. For the summer a study of Job has sparked lively discussion and much study.

DISCIPLE 2 Bible Study

A continuation of the DISCIPLE studies, level 2 covers the books of Genesis and Exodus in the Old Testament, then Luke and Acts in the New Testament. DISCIPLE 1 is recommended as prerequisite. Two classes meet on Thursdays:

Marlene Young leads the afternoon study from 2:30 until 5:00;
